Colombian artist, born in 1989, lives and works in Bogotá, Colombia. His works take on multiple forms such as installation works, recordings, and concert pieces. Cortés is interested in sound and the natural forces which are the base and foundation of his work. He is also interested in investigative and interdisciplinary processes and the connections between art and science. Cortés has been granted with awards such as the VII award to the arts of the Alternate Space Gallery in Bogotá and the PRAC grand of the Ministry of Culture of Colombia. He has performed and exhibited his work in places such as the Museum of Modern Art of NY (MoMA), Center for the Arts CMA. Madrid, Spain, Bilbao Exhibition Center, Bilbao Spain, Fridman Gallery NYC and Hyphenhub salons of art an technology (Red Door and la MaMa)
